MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) _ Senior quarterback Eric Hisaw threw for a school record tying six touchdown passes, ran for 310 yards and another score to lead the Idaho Vandals to a 55-43 upset of sixth ranked Montana.

The win brings Idaho to 3-3 overall and 202 in the Big Sky while Montana falls to 6-2 and 3-1 in conference play.

The Vandals exploded for 28 points in the first quarter and 21 points in the second quarter to lead 49-16 at halftime. Hisaw was 10 of 14 for 265 yards and five touchdowns in the first half.

Montana closed the gap to 49-30 with 5:23 left in the third quarter. Montana forced Idaho to punt on its next possession, but Antoine Chambers stripped Montana receiver Matt Wells of the ball and Dave Longoria recovered the fumble at the Montana 29-yard line. Two plays later, Hisaw hit running back Lavoni Kidd over the middle and he raced 29 yards for the score to improve the lead to 55-30.

Montana senior quarterback Dave Dickenson finished with school records for yards, completions and attempts as he was 43 of 72 for 558 yards, five touchdowns and two interceptions. Receiver Mike Erhardt had 10 catches for 222 yards and two scores while Matt Wells had 11 catches for 141 yards and one score. It marked the third consecutive year that Dickenson had thrown for over 500 yards against Idaho, but the first he lost.
