Senior Federal Judge Richard P. Conaboy’s Condition Remains Critical
SCRANTON — Senior U.S. District Judge Richard P. Conaboy remained in critical condition today following a mild heart attack this weekend, according to the hospital where he is lodged.
Conaboy, 93, is still at Regional Hospital of Scranton, Commonwealth Health spokeswoman Renita Fennick said.
Conaboy went to the hospital Saturday night after he choked on his dinner at a restaurant and suffered a heart attack.
Conaboy was a Lackawanna County judge from 1962 to 1979. He became a federal judge in 1979 and served as chief judge for the middle district from 1989 until 1992, when he became a senior judge.
