CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Athens, home to Ohio University, is one of the most affordable college towns in the country, according to move.org.

The website, which publishes tools and information to help with relocation, based the rankings on a number of factors, including the city’s population, minimum wage and median rent of a one-bedroom apartment in the city center.

Rankings also incorporated costs like the cost of tuition, a movie ticket and a half-liter bottle of domestic beer.

Athens ranked No. 21. Researchers found the median cost of an apartment was $850, minimum wage started at $8.30 and the cost of a bottle of beer was $2.33. Tuition for in-state students was listed as $28,256 and out-of-state at $37,720.
