Angels of East Africa collecting items for hurricane victims

The Angels of East Africa staff is collecting items to help the victims of Hurricane Florence. For the next week, people can drop off nonperishable items, cleaning supplies, new clothes, toiletries and water. Items are accepted at these locations:

North Carolina Furniture Outlet/Giant Eagle parking lot, 4174 Glades Pike, Somerset. 2 to 7 p.m. Monday to Friday, 10 a.m to 2 p.m. Saturday.

MGP Rat Bikes, 7368 Lincoln Highway, Central City. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday.

Ideal Market, 339 Walnut St., Johnstown. 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

People who are unable to drop items off during these hours are asked to call 814-242-7729.
