Nationals call up top prospect Victor Robles for first time this season

The Washington Nationals called up Victor Robles, their top minor league prospect, for the first time this season on Tuesday before a game against the St. Louis Cardinals.

Robles, a 21-year-old outfielder, is the No. 5 ranked prospect in baseball according to MLBPipeline.com and ranked No. 6 by Baseball America.

Robles has been playing for Triple-A Syracuse, but this will not be his first time wearing a Washington uniform. He played in 13 games for the Nationals in September 2017 and had six hits in 24 at-bats, including two triples, a double and four RBI.

The Nationals (69-69) also recalledinfielder Adrian Sanchez and right-handed pitcher Austin Voth from Syracuse among other roster moves.
