Two meetings set to meet CRUHSD superintendent finalists
BULLHEAD CITY — The public will have two opportunities next week to meet the two finalists for superintendent of the Colorado River Union High School District.
The CRUHSD board announced Wednesday that community stakeholder meetings — open to public, faculty, staff and students — will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at Mohave High School in Bullhead City and at 4 p.m. Tuesday at River Valley High School in Mohave Valley.
The board on Tuesday selected Todd Flora, education program specialist with the Arizona Department of Education’s satellite office in Flagstaff, and Timothy Mayclin, superintendent of the Kimball, South Dakota, school district, as finalists to replace retiring Supt. Benje Hookstra. Flora and Mayclin were selected as finalists after the board interviewed five candidates in executive session over two days earlier this week.
Both finalists are scheduled to be in the district Monday and Tuesday for tours, meetings and interviews prior to the board’s offer of the position.
The board could come to a conclusion on its choice on Tuesday, following another round of interviews with each candidate, or could hold a special meeting on Wednesday to reach that decision.
