Council wants Trump’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star removed

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Two weeks after President Donald Trump’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star was vandalized for a second time, the West Hollywood City Council has voted unanimously to permanently remove the star.

The latest incident occurred when a man took a pickaxe to the star, all but destroying it. The council said removing the star has nothing to do with Trump being a republican.

According to the USA Today, the council wants the star removed due to President Trump’s “disturbing treatment of women and other actions that do not meet the shared values of the City of West Hollywood, the region, state, and country.”

However, the city of Los Angeles’ and its chamber of commerce holds the authority to remove the star, not the Hollywood City Council. As USA Today points out, other controversial celebrities such as Bill Cosby and Kevin Spacey have not had their stars’ removed.
