Man sentenced to life for fatally shooting 3 people in Flint
FLINT, Mich. (AP) — A man has been sentenced to life in prison without a chance for parole in the deaths of three people who were shot inside a burning house.
The Flint Journal reports Tyree Jamaul Culberson of the Flint-area community of Mount Morris Township was given the mandatory punishment Tuesday after a jury last month found him guilty of three counts of first-degree murder for the December 2016 attack in Flint.
He also was convicted of first-degree arson and other weapons and drug charges.
Authorities say emergency crews responding to the fire found John Naum, Kenneth Curler and Tiff Loisell suffering from gunshot wounds. Naum and Curler died at the scene, while Loisell died the next day.
Police said they believe the attack was drug-related and that Loisell was the intended target.
