The Red Cross is hosting blood drives in several local towns in the coming days.
Donations are critical in wake of Hurricane Florence. Nearly 200 Red Cross blood drives in the Southeast were forced to cancel because of the storm, resulting in more than 5,200 uncollected blood and platelet donations, according to the Red Cross.
Blood will be collected in Danbury from 1 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Hatters Town Park and 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 12 at Danbury Hospital.
Drives will also be held from 1 to 6:15 p.m. Oct. 9 at Raymour & Flanigan in Brookfield and from 1 to 6 p.m. Oct. 11 at Bethel United Methodist Church.
