Another Bulldogs basketball player suspended
FRESNO, Calif. (AP) _ Fresno State basketball player Daymond Forney has been suspended indefinitely for a team violation.
The Fresno Bee reported today that Forney has entered the Student Athlete Assistance Program, which handles anti-social behavior, drug and alcohol abuse. Details have not been released on why the Bulldogs’ power forward was placed in the program.
The newspaper said Forney’s suspension could last into the regular season which begins Nov. 17.
Coach Jerry Tarkanian said Forney ``knew what he had to do and he slipped up. He has to get his life in order, and we hope he does.″
Forney is the third member of the team to be suspended before this season begins.
Forward Terrance Roberson has been suspended until he completes requirements related to the assistance program. Guard Rafer Alston was suspended after an altercation with his ex-girlfriend.
