CONCORD -- A local group concerned about a possible solar farm locating near County Highway E between Watertown and Concord will meet to discuss the matter Sept. 18.
“The public is invited to seek information and discuss concerns about the solar farm being proposed for the towns of Watertown, Concord, Ixonia and Farmington,” the group stated in a media release.
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the Town of Concord Community Center, W1095 Concord Center Dr., Sullivan.
This event is being organized by local citizens in response to the possible siting of a solar farm by Invenergy, an energy company from Chicago.
Melissa Winker, candidate for Assembly District 38, and several County Board Supervisors are scheduled to be present to listen and take questions.
