MILAN, Italy (AP) _ Christian Vieri, the injured national team star who missed the European Championship, scored in the 77th minute to lead Internazionale past Perugia 2-1 Saturday in the Italian League.

Vieri's playing time had been limited since his return Nov. 5 from a thigh injury. His header broke a 1-1 tie, his first goal in Serie A in almost seven months.

Alvaro Recoba, the game's dominant player, opened the scoring for Inter (3-3-1) in the 10th minute. Perugia (2-3-2) tied it in the 30th when Marco Materazzi knocked in a one-hop free kick from 25 yards.

Inter was coming off a humiliating home loss to lowly Lecce last week.

Defending champion Lazio was home against AC Milan in the featured night game.

On Sunday, it's Brescia vs. Juventus, Fiorentina vs. Vicenza, Lecce vs. Bari, Napoli vs. Atalanta, Udinese vs. Reggina, Verona vs. AS Roma and Bologna vs. AC Parma.
