Assault and drug cases among those recently handled in Judge DeLuca’s Penn Hills court

Penn Hills District Judge Anthony L. DeLuca handled the following cases recently. Defendants will have court dates set in Allegheny County Common Pleas Court. Charges were filed by Penn Hills police unless otherwise noted.

Held for courtJohn Mitchell, 18, of Pittsburgh on charges of simple assault and disorderly conduct. Charges were filed May 2.Shakihya Ruffin, 20, of Pittsburgh on charges of driving under the influence, purchase of alcohol by a minor and disregard traffic lane. Charges were filed June 17.

Waived preliminary hearingsTimothy Green, 32, of Verona on charges of possession of controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license. Verona police filed the charges April 28.Jordan Dehonney, 25, of Penn Hills on charges of driving under the influence, failure to obey traffic control devices, careless driving and accident involving damage to unattended vehicle or property. Charges were filed May 14.Donald Kuhn Jr., 57, of Penn Hills on charges of possession of controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence, failure to keep right, disregarding traffic lane and accident to unattended vehicle or property.Daniel Gent, 44, of McKeesport on charges of criminal trespass and theft of secondary metal. Verona police filed the charges June 17.David Fearon, 62, of North Versailles Township on charges of possession of controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia. Wilkins Township police filed the charges July 16.

Andrew Czmola, 36, of Verona on charges of simple assault. Charges were filed Aug. 4.

Damian Cherepko, 24, of Ambridge on charges of possession of controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges were filed Aug. 16.
