BARBOURSVILLE - The westbound left lane of Interstate 64 at the 29th Street exit (Exit 15) was shut down Thursday for cleanup of diesel fuel that leaked after a truck crash that happened last Friday.

“The westbound right lane is open and will remain open during the cleanup, which could take approximately six hours,” said Detective Greg Lucas with the Barboursville Police Department.

Lucas said law enforcement was on the scene to assist with traffic.

“Traffic will be slowed considerably,” he said. “Motorists should expect delays and are urged to drive carefully.”

The cleanup was expected to be completed around 3 p.m. and the closed lane was to reopen at that time.
