Orchids and Onions: Tuesday, March 5, 2019

March 6, 2019

Another beautiful day in Havasu...

Orchids to Curb Appeal. Marc and crew who did an awesome job on our cool decking project! Highly recommend! Darla

Onions to the golf handicap system. He has been winning for several weeks but his handicap doesn’t change. It is called sand bagging and he has a severe case of it. You’re welcome. Your buddy

Orchids to the following businesses who made Tom and Barb Oesch’s 60th wedding anniversary so memorable, beginning with Today’s News Herald’s social write-up, then floral arrangement by Interior Gardens, Elite VIP specially decorated Shuttle to Shugrue’s for delicious dinner celebration. Thanks to all.

Onions to eatery on the rainy Valentine’s Day. They weren’t ready for customers at 4 p.m., and made us go outside to wait. One lady had been carried in because she had MS, and she wasn’t allowed to sit on the bench inside. She was carried back out to her car.

Orchids to all our friends and family for all the well wishes and help while we battle through Ron’s cancers. Thanks you all so much and God bless you all. This would be a real nightmare without you all. Ron and Christi White

Onions to the twisted mind of the complainer of racism by hearing “Whistling Dixie.” Orchids to seeing the Confederate Battle Flag and the US Flag on vehicles around Havasu.

Orchids to Luis, The Palm Tree Guy, for trimming my tall palms. He had to climb three trees. Exceptional work. Very conscientious and his cleanup was above and beyond what was expected.

Onions to our city. I built a home on the island, and had to pay about $1,000 for the second bridge for my permit. No bridge but a lot of traffic control. I sure hope I am not funding this stupid work being done to our intersections. Where did my money go? Very bad management, where did my money go?

Orchids to Office bar’s French fries. They are the best in town, by far!

Onions to the manager at the club for not helping at the bar, when eight feet of the bar top was cov-ered with glasses, cans and recyclables. Nope, she just runs back and hides in the office. She even gets paid! Raven
