‘Spring Fling’ to highlight community businesses in Wayne

January 30, 2019

WAYNE - The first annual Wayne County Spring Fling is scheduled to take place on March 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Wayne Community Center. The event is co-sponsored by the Wayne County Prevention Coalition and Family Resource Network.

“This Spring Fling is designed to educate people on the services and businesses that are available to them in the town of Wayne,” said Nancy Fry, a member of both sponsoring boards. “We have a lot to offer and I think it will be a good event to connect our community.”

For six hours the community center will be filled with local vendors and resources for those in attendance. Entertainment includes live music, crafts, food, and door prize giveaways.

Confirmed vendors include Necco, the Department of Health and Human Resources, local sewing shops, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the West Virginia Attorney Generals office.

The event is free and open to the public, but attendees are asked to provide a gift or item that can be given out as a door prize.
