No. 5 ODU 90, William and Mary 57

NORFOLK, Va. (AP) _ Mery Andrade scored 18 of her season-high 25 points in the first half Tuesday and No. 5 Old Dominion beat William & Mary 90-57.

With the game tied at 10, Old Dominion (20-3, 13-0 Colonial Athletic Association) went on a 25-4 run, sparked by 10 points by Andrade, to take a 35-14 lead with 5:13 until halftime.

William and Mary (12-11, 5-8) couldn’t get closer than 17 points after that as the Lady Monarchs surged toward their 77th consecutive league win. Old Dominion has won 126 out of its last 127 CAA games.

Lucienne Berthieu added 12 points for Old Dominion, Hamchetou Maiga had 12 and Amanda Levens and Sharron Francis each had 10. Francis also had 10 rebounds.

Mary Ranone led the Tribe with 14 points and Julie Sommer had 13.

The Lady Monarchs built a 45-22 halftime lead behind 77 percent free-throw shooting and 46 percent shooting from the field.

Old Dominion had 22 steals while forcing the Tribe to commit 33 turnovers.
