Tony Danza Faces Lawsuit
LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Tony Danza and his real estate partners were sued Wednesday for allegedly not paying a Las Vegas man who found a parcel of Nevada land for the actor’s planned sports and entertainment complex.
In the lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, Kevin Jacobson claims he did ``considerable leg work″ to find 30 acres in Henderson, Nev., where Danza and his partners planned to build the Danza Sports and Entertainment Center.
Jacobson, who cut short talks with possible tenants after he was not paid developer fees and his commission, is seeking $822,127 in compensatory damages and $1 million in punitive damages.
The lawsuit alleges breach of contract, fraud, negligence and emotional distress.
A phone message left with Danza’s publicist was not immediately returned Wednesday evening.
