Jackknifed truck cleared, separate crash caused delays on I-95

The crash in Stratford has cleared.

The jackknifed truck on Interstate 95 in Bridgeport was cleared. Slight residual delays remained in the area.

But a collision nearby in Stratford continues to cause traffic slow-downs in the area.

The left and center lanes of I-95 north between Exits 32 and 33 are closed after a two-car crash. Traffic is congested between Exits 29 and 33 (about a three-mile stretch of the highway), the Department of Transportation said. The crash was reported around 2:45 p.m.

UPDATE: 2:25 P.M.

One of the two lanes closed to traffic after a truck jackknifed on Interstate 95 in Bridgeport has reopened to traffic, the Department of Transportation said.

The left lane remains closed to all traffic.

BRIDGEPORT — Two lanes of Interstate 95 in Bridgeport are closed because of a jackknifed truck Tuesday afternoon.

Around 2:15 p.m., Connecticut State Police responded to I-95 north between Exits 28 and 29 for a truck that jackknifed, the Department of Transportation said.

The two left lanes are closed to all traffic. There was no immediate word on possible injuries. All CTDOT traffic cameras were down at the time of the crash, according to the website.
