ESSEX JUNCTION, Vt. (AP) — Vermont's largest annual fair event is in full swing.

The 10-day Champlain Valley Fair opened on Friday in Essex Junction.

The event includes 21 concerts and more than 100 vendors. There are also livestock competition and exhibitions, such as horse and dairy shows, livestock pulling events and a sheep tent as well as a garden center and culinary competitions.

The fair is open daily from 10 a.m. to midnight.

Other Vermont fairs that are ongoing or upcoming are the Caledonia County and Bondville fairs which run through Sunday; the Guilford Fair on Sept. 2 and Sept. 3; and the Tunbridge World's Fair from Sept. 13-16.
