Teleflex: 4Q Earnings Snapshot

WAYNE, Pa. (AP) _ Teleflex Inc. (TFX) on Thursday reported fourth-quarter net income of $90.6 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

The Wayne, Pennsylvania-based company said it had profit of $1.93 per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $2.77 per share.

The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $2.78 per share.

The medical equipment maker posted revenue of $641.6 million in the period, topping Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $640 million.

For the year, the company reported profit of $200.8 million, or $4.29 per share. Revenue was reported as $2.45 billion.

Teleflex expects full-year earnings in the range of $10.90 to $11.10 per share.

Teleflex shares have climbed 11 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed 6.5 percent in the last 12 months.
