Undated (AP) _ Zigbelle, who was recently purchased by two time Eclipse Award winning owner John Franks, won the $25,000 Small Raja Purse at Pimlico Race Course Tuesday.

Zigbelle and In The Curl, the favorite in the field of eight fillies and mares, matched strides through the stretch before Zigbelle inched away to win by a head in the 1:11 4.5 for six furlongs with jockey Donald Miller Jr.

In The Curl finished one length before Shaviana.

Zigbelle paid $13.60, 6.40 and $4; In The Curl $3.60 and $3; Shaviana $4. ---

Favored Orange Wave swept to a five-length victory ahead of longshot Rainbow Morning in the $15,000 Noble Royalty Purse at Calder Race Course.

The winner, ridden by Octavio Vergara, was timed in 1:54 1-5 in the 1 1/8 -mile feature for fillies and mares. Orange Wave paid $6.60, $4.20 and $3.80. Rainbow Morning, a 14-1 shot, paid $11.20 and $6. Sweetbreads paid $4.20 to show.

Moonbeam McQueen, owned by Brad Wolken of Hot Springs and John Swann of Lexington, Ky., caught Taxpayer’s Folly in midstretch en route to a 1 1/4 -length victory in the $22,000 allowance feaure at Oaklawn Park.

Moonbeam McQueen sprinted the six furlongs in 1:11 2-5 under Dean Kutz and paid $24.40, $7.40 and $5.00.

Taxpayer’s Folly, ridden by Pat Day, returned $3.00 and $2.40 as the favorite in the field of eight fillies and mares. Shamrock Leader, two lengths back in third with Chris Valovich in the saddle, was worth $5.60 to show.
