BOYS SOCCER: Knights blast Kingman

December 18, 2018

The Lake Havasu boys soccer team scored early and often in a overpowering 6-0 victory over Kingman on Monday at Lee Barnes Stadium.

Knights forward Randy Gallegos opened the scoring in the first 10 minutes and continued to press forward in the first half.

In the 18th minute, Tristan Fowler tipped a through ball around the Kingman keeper and slid to angle it into the back of the net for a 2-0 lead. Five minutes later, Gallegos spun through the Bulldogs defense and backheeled a shot into the net for his second of the game. Julio Barrera scored a fourth goal just before the first half buzzer.

Already controlling the lions’ share of possession, Havasu midfielders Johnathan Perez and Trent Dreisbach added another two goals after halftime to ice the victory.

The Knights are now on a holiday break until a game at River Valley on Jan. 7.
