Bernard A. Humlicek, 92, of Wahoo, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2018, in Lincoln.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Abie. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 29, with a 7 p.m. rosary at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Wahoo. Interment will be at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the family.

He was born Nov. 25, 1925, in Prague, to Anton and Rose (Ostry) Humlicek. Bernard grew up on the family farm north of Abie, and graduated from Schuyler High School in 1944. Bernie served in the U.S. Army during World War II. After returning from the war, he began farming near Brainard. He later bought a farm near Prague. On Jan. 5, 1955, Bernie married Marcella Slavik.

He is survived by wife Marcella, of Wahoo; children Julianne (Lloyd) Beaner of Lincoln, Cathy (Steve) Urban of Lincoln, Linda (Bill) Brown of Clayton, Delaware, Anton (Michelle) Humlicek of Lincoln, Jerome Humlicek of Lincoln; daughter-in-law Denise Humlicek of Lincoln; brother Jerome (Marcie) Humlicek of Columbus; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Bernie; and brothers, Leonard and Louis.
