Point guard Dumerc set to make debut for Dream
ATLANTA (AP) — Point guard Celine Dumerc is set to make her debut for the Atlanta Dream.
Dumerc began the season on Atlanta’s suspended list while completing her obligations on her French club team. She will be active for Tuesday night’s game against the Los Angeles Sparks.
The Dream waived rookie guard Inga Orekhova to clear a spot for Dumerc, a two-time EuroLeague All-Star.
The 5-foot-7 Dumerc is the captain of the French national team. She was the team’s leading scorer as France won the silver medal at the 2012 London Olympics.
