North Adams man pleads guilty to hiding drugs in home
PITTSFIELD, Mass. (AP) — A western Massachusetts man who authorities say stashed heroin inside a computer tower in his home last year is headed to prison.
The Berkshire Eagle reports (http://bit.ly/1QGEbmc ) 27-year-old Christopher Therrien pleaded guilty to one count of heroin trafficking on Tuesday in Berkshire Superior Court. He was sentenced to up to 4 ½ years in prison.
The North Adams man was arrested Aug. 18 after authorities found a plastic bag with the drugs stashed inside a locked computer tower at his Union Street home.
Police said they also found about $1,500 in cash and a digital scale with heroin residue on it.
