CLEVELAND, Ohio -- An East Cleveland man was slashed with a razor during a robbery outside a gas station in Cleveland’s Mount Pleasant neighborhood.

The 56-year-old man needed stitches to close a cut on the left side of his nose after the Tuesday robbery outside Liberty Gas on Kinsman Road near East 145th Street, according to a police report.

No arrests have been made in the case, police said.

The robbery happened just after 3:45 a.m. in the drive-thru outside the gas station’s convenience store.

The man had just used a $50 bill to make a purchase TKTK the robber ran up and stole his change from the drive-thru’s rotating window. The man got out of his car to confront the robber, and the robber pulled out a razor, the police report says.

The robber slashed the man across the face, causing a cut that required stitches. The robber also slashed the man’s abdomen before he ran away, the report says.

The man chased the robber until he fell and hurt his knee.

Cleveland EMS took the man to University Hospital for treatment.

The man could not provide a description of the robber, the report says.
