Divers searching for kayaker in PIscataquog River
MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) — Divers in New Hampshire have recovered the body of a kayaker who they say fell into a river and didn’t resurface.
Police in Manchester say they got a call about a missing kayaker on the Piscataquog River at about 9 p.m. Thursday.
Dive teams aided New Hampshire Fish and Game conservation officers and the Marine Patrol.
WMUR-TV reports officials said a 32-year-old woman was kayaking with three friends when she fell out of her kayak, went under the water and never resurfaced. The body was found Friday morning in about 14 feet of water.
Two divers and boats combed the water for about an hour Thursday night.
This story has been corrected to show the kayaker fell into the Piscataquog River, not the Piscataqua.
