Campus Connection For March 6

A collection of local athletes performing well on the college level.

Women’s Basketball

• Elizabethtown junior Lydia Lawson (Holy Redeemer) was named an All-Landmark Conference first team guard for the second straight season. Lawson’s 133 made field goals were nearly as many as she totaled between her freshman and sophomore season (135). Her 423 points overall ranked second in the Landmark Conference.

• West Chester freshman Sarah Holweg (Pittston Area) hit a big 3-pointer before halftime in a PSAC semifinal win over Millersville on Monday.

Baseball

• Cabrini sophomore JD Barrett (Dallas) remained hot for the Cavaliers as he tallied two hits and four RBIs in a 8-1 win over Alma this past weekend.

• Maryland sophomore Justin Vought (Valley West) had two hits and a RBI in a 4-2 win over Louisiana Lafayette on Friday.

In a 4-3 14-inning loss on Saturday, Vought, Maryland’s catcher, made a diving tag at home in the 11th inning to extend the game.

• Chesapeake sophomore Livan Reinoso (Hazleton Area) had an impressive weekend for the Skipjacks as he had eight hits and 11 RBIs in the span of six games.
