About 50 Sinn Fein supporters gathered on the sidewalk opposite the courthouse while the arraignment hearing was under way behind tight security. A police inspector, who was not identified for security reasons, told the court that neither man replied when they were charged. The men said through their lawyer that they would contest the charges.
