Cal St.-Fullerton 64, UNLV 61

FULLERTON, Calif. (AP) _ Chris Dade scored 16 points and John Williams added 13 off the bench as Cal State-Fullerton defeated UNLV 64-61 in the Big West on Thursday night.

Williams put the Titans (4-10, 3-3 Big West) ahead to stay on a three-point play that snapped a 57-57 tie with 2:57 remaining. Dade converted two free throws for a 62-57 advantage with 1:50 left.

UNLV (6-8, 3-3) cut its deficit to 63-61 on a shot by Chancellor Davis with 23 seconds remaining.

Kenroy Jarrett added a free throw with 13 seconds to play and Davis had a 3-pointer by DeVaughn Wright blocked. The Runnin’ Rebels could not get off another shot before time expired.

The Rebels used a 13-0 spurt early in the second half to turn a 41-28 deficit into a 41-41 tie on a basket by Eddie Corbett. UNLV led only once, 54-53, on Lane’s basket with 5:30 left in the game.

UNLV went eight minutes without a basket in the first half and trailed 34-23 at halftime. Fullerton went on a 19-1 run.
