Clinton Rosette seeking monetary donations for families in need

December 18, 2018

DeKALB – The Parents and Teachers Organization at Clinton Rosette Middle School is still looking for cash donations to help support families in need over the holidays.

Holiday Magic is a program sponsored by the PTO and Clinton Rosette, 650 N. First St., that supports CRMS children and their siblings during the holiday season, to provide them with a personalized outfit and a toy.

“We’ve been running this [program] every year for the last nine years at least, and what we ask if for our teachers to nominate families who may need some help over the holiday season,” said Tim Vincent, principal at Clinton Rosette.

Vincent said he then works with the families to identify clothing size and toy interests, while maintaining their confidentiality for them.

The middle school also held a bread fundraiser to support Holiday Magic, and encouraged the community to sponsor a family in need.

Those wishing to donate can deliver cash or a check – made out to the Clinton Rosette PTO – to the front office of the middle school up until 3:30 p.m. Friday.
