LEIPZIG, Germany (AP) _ Steffi Graf continued her comeback today with 6-1, 3-6, 6-0 victory over Dominque van Roost in the semifinals of the Leipzig Open.

Graf said she surprised herself because she hadn't expected to do so well this early in her comeback after hand surgery in September.

Graf took advantage of 12 double faults by her Belgian opponent.

``I'm trying to get back to the top, but I've had a lot of injuries the past few months. But I keep overcoming them and coming back,'' said the 29-year-old Graf.

Graf, who dropped from the No. 1 and is 22nd, faces the winner of the second semifinal match between top-ranked Nathalie Tauziat and Romania's Irina Spirlea in Sunday's final.
