Seven Killed in Mexico Bush Crash

MEXICO CITY (AP) _ A local passenger bus collided with a vegetable truck on Tuesday, killing seven people and injuring five in the Pacific coast state of Oaxaca, the government news agency Notimex reported.

The victims included the Transistmica bus driver and fare collector, the state attorney general’s office said. All of the victims appeared to be Mexican citizens.

The bus was driving east from Juchitan, near the southern Pacific coast, to Matias Romero when the accident occurred at Ventajosa, about 12 miles northeast of Juchitan. The cause of the crash was not immediately clear.

The truck was headed west from the neighboring Veracruz state to Juchitan.
