Wind advisory issued in northeast Indiana, northwest Ohio

February 7, 2019

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for tonight and early Friday in northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio, saying winds of 20 to 30 mph are expected, with possible gusts to 50 mph.

The advisory for Kosciusko and Wabash counties is from 5 p.m. today to 4 a.m. Friday, the weather service said in a statement. The advisory for other northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio counties is from 7 p.m. today to 4 p.m. Friday.

High-profile vehicles may have difficulty because of the wind gusts, the weather service said. It said loose objects will be blown around, some damage to tree limbs is possible and scattered power outages could occur.

The weather service recommended drivers use extra caution.
