Pirates sweep Cambridge on Senior Night, clinch first outright league title since 2014
WATERLOO — Playing on Senior Night, Waterloo’s volleyball team swept Cambridge 25-14, 25-13, 25-14 in a Capitol South match to clinch the league title outright.
“Tonight was Senior Night and it was a great three-set sweep for our five seniors Katie Kuhl, Emily McCunn, Ashley Caraballo, Kylie Jarona and Mona Kick,” Waterloo volleyball coach Christy Mosher said. “I thank them for their dedication and leadership these last four years. They have contributed a great deal to the success of this program.
“It was nice having all five seniors on the court at the same time and contribute to this win that clinched the conference championship outright for the first time since 2014.”
Brooke Mosher had 15 kills, three blocks, two aces and 10 digs for Waterloo (23-11 overall, 9-0 in conference). Joslyn Wolff added seven kills and two aces. Caraballo had two blocks. Kuhl put up 15 assists.
Waterloo closes out conference play tonight at Marshall.
