BRENTWOOD, N.H. (AP) — A fire has destroyed a building that houses a lawn and outdoor power equipment business in New Hampshire.

The fire burned down the Brentwood Power Equipment Center on Monday night.

WMUR-TV reports Brentwood Fire Chief Joseph Bird said the fire was so intense that he would not allow any of his firefighters inside the building. The fire closed Route 125 for hours.

Bird said no one was inside the building. He said the owner had just left when he heard an explosion from the repair shop area.

The family business burned to the ground and was rebuilt 20 years ago. The business has been open since 1986.

The owners wrote on Facebook that they will begin the process of rebuilding.
