Kelly Clarkson books concert at Quicken Loans Arena in 2019

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Since Kelly Clarkson’s been gone from touring, she’s gotten married, had two kids and became a mentor on “The Voice.” What hasn’t changed for the original “American Idol” winner: her ability to put out infectious pop hits featuring her signature powerful vocals.

Now, the “Breakaway” singer is ready to return to the road. Clarkson’s “Meaning Of Life” tour will hit 28 cities starting in January. The tour will include a stop in Cleveland -- her first in nearly six years -- on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Quicken Loans Arena.

Grammy-nominated country singer Kelsea Ballerini and Brynn Cartelli -- last season’s winner of “The Voice” -- are the opening acts.

Clarkson last appeared in Cleveland in August 2013, co-headlining a show with Maroon 5 at Blossom Music Center. Since then, she’s put out a string of hit songs including “Piece by Piece,” “Heartbeat Song” and “Love So Soft,” along with the tour’s namesake album.

″‘Meaning of Life’ is the album I always wanted to make and I am so excited to finally be able to tour it,” says Clarkson in a release. “Even while recording it, I couldn’t wait for people to experience the music live, to not only hear it, but feel it. It has taken almost a year of planning, and I can’t wait to see y’all on the road!”

Tickets go on sale online at TheQArena.com on Monday, Sept. 24, 2018. There’s also a pre-sale for American Express card holders starting a week earlier.
