Browns’ Jackson on Injured Reserve
CLEVELAND (AP) _ The Cleveland Browns placed wide receiver Lenzie Jackson on the reserve non-football injury list Wednesday and moved offensive lineman Noel LaMontagne to the 53-man roster.
Jackson, who was signed as a free agent Sept. 12, had surgery on his toe last weekend. The toe became infected as a result of a serious motorcycle accident Jackson was involved in last summer.
He caught one pass in five games for the Browns and returned nine kickoffs and had one special teams tackle.
LaMontagne was signed to the active roster after being on the non-football injury list with a knee injury.
The club also signed linebacker Chester Burnett to the active roster from the practice squad. Linebacker Doug Colman is seeking an injury settlement from the Browns.
Jackson is the 10th Browns player to be placed on injured reserve list this season. The second-year club has already lost quarterback Tim Couch and three other offensive starters for the season with injuries.
