Science teacher earns statewide honor

Lake Havasu High School science teacher Stefani Chase recently received exceptional recognition from the Arizona Science Teachers Association.

Chase was honorably mentioned as the High School Science Teacher of the Year at the association’s conference in November. First place was earned by Michelle Landreville from Paradise Valley High School.

The science teacher association offers professional development workshops, webinars and resources to Arizona educators. It has 991 annual members. Chase joined the Lake Havasu Unified School District as a high school science teacher in 2014. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of California and her master’s degree from Northern Arizona University.
