Northern North Dakota tribes re-elect their leaders

MINOT, N.D. (AP) — Leaders of the Three Affiliated Tribes and the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa have been re-elected.

Three Affiliated Tribes Chairman Mark Fox defeated former tribal chairman and former National Congress of American Indians President Tex Hall in Tuesday’s election. Fox got about 64 percent of the vote.

Unofficial results show that Turtle Mountain Chairman Jamie Azure got more than 69 percent of the vote in his race against challenger Sam LaRocque Sr.
