Nuggets Name New GM, Player Development Director

February 2, 1996

DENVER (AP) _ Todd Eley was promoted from assistant general manager to general manager of the Denver Nuggets on Thursday.

The announcement was made by team president and coach Bernie Bickerstaff.

The Nuggets have been without a general manager since the start of the season, although Eley has been serving in that capacity.

Jim Brovelli, former coach at the University of San Francisco, was appointed director of player development in another personnel move announced Thursday.

Eley, the Nuggets’ assistant general manager since 1990, will oversee the Nuggets’ day-to-day business in his new position, manage the team’s salary cap and direct preparations for the NBA draft.
