LANGSTON, Okla. (AP) _ Waylon Jones passed for 294 yards and four touchdowns as Langston defeated Prairie View A&M 37-20 Saturday, extending the Panthers’ NCAA-record losing streak to 63 games.

The Panthers (0-6) led 6-3 after the first quarter on Reginald Prudhomme’s 5-yard touchdown pass to Torrence Brooks. But the Lions (4-1), the No. 2 team in NAIA Division I, shut out Prairie View in the second and third quarters.

Meanwhile, Jones connected with Matthew Hatchette for two TD passes _ an 8-yarder in the second quarter and a 51-yarder early in the third period.

Hatchette finished the game with seven catches for 167 yards and two touchdowns.

Prairie View’s Kerwin Owens caught three passes for 101 yards and one touchdown. Prudhomme completed 22 of 36 passes for 178 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.

Prairie View hasn’t won since beating Mississippi Valley State on Oct. 28, 1989.
