SEATTLE (AP) _ Lynn Pride and Jaclyn Johnson scored 14 points apiece as No. 23 Kansas pulled away for a 68-56 victory over Tennessee-Martin in the first round of the Seattle Times Husky Classic on Saturday.

Tennessee-Martin closed to four points with 3:40 left in the game on two free throws by Tracy Webb, but got no closer as Kansas ended with an 11-3 run.

Brooke Reves scored 13 points and Shandy Robbins 12 for Kansas (8-3).

Nichole Lockridge scored 14 points and Zabrina Harris 11 for Tennessee-Martin (5-3).

Uncharacteristically strong free throw shooting kept Tennessee-Martin in the game. The Skyhawks entered the game shooting 65.1 percent from the free throw line, but made 21-of-22 Saturday.

The loss broke a three-game Tennessee-Martin winning streak. The Jayhawks won their fourth in a row.

Kansas raced out to 10-0 and 14-2 leads early in the first half, but the Skyhawks never let the game get completely out of reach.

Tennessee-Martin trailed 29-17 at halftime despite making only three field goals in the first half.
