Out & About: Shickshinny Business Association Membership Mixer

The Shickshinny Business Association annual membership mixer was held Saturday, Nov. 10, at the Polish Falcons Hall, Nest 163, Mocanaqua. More than 90 people attended, including business leaders, community groups, and United Way representatives. State Sen. Lisa Baker was recognized for helping small communities. Plaques were presented to business association Secretary/Treasurer Wayne Wolfe, the Mocanaqua Fire Company for working to help others, and WNEP’s Mike Stevens for his work and reporting on the area and the FLT Building. Bonnie Kishbaugh and B&B Catering served the meal. Cheryl Bach, president of the historical society, did decorations and provided special desserts. A program was also held in which various organizations reported on what they have done and will do in the future, including the newly organized Twin Cities community youth group and Susquehanna Warrior Trails.
