Man arrested for murder in fatal restaurant hammer attack
NEW YORK (AP) — A 34-year-old man has been arrested on murder and attempted murder charges in the unprovoked hammer attack on three employees at a Brooklyn restaurant.
Police on Wednesday identified the suspect as Arthur Martunovich, of Brooklyn, and described him as emotionally disturbed.
The attack happened at the Seaport Buffet in Sheepshead Bay just after 5 p.m. Tuesday.
One of the victims, Fufai Pun, of Brooklyn, was pronounced dead at the hospital. The 60-year-old restaurant owner and a 50-year-old manager remain in critical condition.
Information on the suspect’s lawyer was not immediately available.
This story corrects to show the name of the restaurant is Seaport Buffet, not Seafood Buffet.
