Man arrested after shooting injures two men in White Hills
WHITE HILLS — Tuesday afternoon gunfire in the rural community of White Hills north of Kingman put two men in the hospital and another in jail.
The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office responded at 4 p.m. to a residence in the 11000 block of West Saddleback Drive after one of the victims called dispatch for help.
“The victim advised that a male subject, identified as Donal Cory Dehar, 55, White Hills, had just shot him and another male with a handgun,” said sheriff’s office spokeswoman Anita Mortensen. “Deputies made contact with both victims and began rendering aid until emergency medical staff arrived.”
One of the victims reported that Dehar fled on foot to the house next door. Mortensen said Dehar complied when deputies ordered him to exit the residence and surrender.
Mortensen said one victim was taken to Kingman Regional Medical Center for treatment of a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The more seriously injured victim was flown to a Las Vegas hospital.
Dehar was booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Center in Kingman for suspicion of attempted murder, aggravated assault and prohibited possession of a weapon.
