Old Dominion 74, NC-Wilmington 52

NORFOLK, Va. (AP) _ Mery Andrade and Aubrey Eblin scored 15 points apiece and No. 5 Old Dominion used a decisive run late in the game to defeat North Carolina-Wilmington 74-52 Friday night.

North Carolina-Wilmington (10-15, 5-10 Colonial Athletic Association) trailed 33-21 at halftime but clawed back into the game with an 11-2 run in the first 3 1/2 minutes of the second half.

Eblin hit a short jumper with 10:45 remaining to spark a 22-4 run over eight minutes to put the game out of reach. Amanda Levens came off the bench and scored six points during the spurt.

Andrade was 5-of-9 from the field, grabbed eight rebounds and had five assists for the Lady Monarchs (23-3, 16-0). Old Dominion forced 24 turnovers and had 12 steals.

Chandra Watkins led Wilmington with 13 points and Christy Gambill added 10.

The Lady Monarchs have won 80 straight conference games. Old Dominion played Friday without starting center Lucienne Berthieu and reserve Sharron Francis.
