U.S. soldier dies of pneumonia in Bosnia
TUZLA, Bosnia-Herzegovina (AP) _ A U.S. soldier serving in Bosnia has died of pneumonia, the NATO-led peace force said today.
Specialist Donald J. Frank, 22, of Rice Lake, Wis., was taken Sunday from America’s Bosnian base of Tuzla to Landsthul Regional Medical Center in Germany, where he died Tuesday.
He was assigned to U.S. Army Headquarters Troop, 3rd Squadron, 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment, based in Fort Polk, La., and had been in Bosnia with his unit for two months. He joined the Army in July 1994.
