2 past winners take first place again in Flying Pig Marathon
CINCINNATI (AP) — Two past winners of the annual Flying Pig Marathon in Cincinnati have won the event again.
Twenty-four-year-old Jack Randall, of Cincinnati, won the men’s division in a time of 2:28:58 Sunday. That was almost five minutes better than his winning 2017 time. Coming in second was 35-year-old Tim Kaiser of Union, Kentucky, followed by 24-year-old Alex Gold, of Peebles, Ohio, in third place.
Twenty-nine-year-old Anne Flower, of Lexington, Kentucky, was the women’s division winner. Her time of 2:49:17 was more than six minutes better than her 2016 winning time. Last year’s winner, 26-year-old Caitlin Keen, of Fort Worth, Texas, placed second, followed by 32-year-old Kate Nicewicz, of Cookeville, Tennessee.
Organizers say more than 43,600 people registered for various events over the three days. They represented 50 states and 29 countries.
